House of the People
For more than thirty years, the House of the People has provided shelter, guidance, and community to refugees and immigrants from around the world. The House stands as a place where new arrivals to the United States could find safety, community, and practical support as they began rebuilding their lives. Residents receive hands-on support in developing essential life skills such as managing household chores, learning to cook, use public transportation, handle finances, and improve language proficiency.
